Barranquilla was chosen because our big context of culture, and our capacity to create a very good environment with all our visitors and tourists, and also it has many important and ancient structures and places that take place on most important places of colombia

Barranquilla was chosen by the International Bureau of Cultural Capitals as the American Capital of Culture 2013 becouse the recognition of the city as a center of popular culture, a place for get in the best way relax and fun, Barranquilla is the carnival city.

Barranquilla was choosen because this city have a lot of history and represent a patrimony, also the company was impressed with all the cultural and traditional facts in Barranquilla,by the positivism and happiness from the city, and these factors allow greater projection of the city in the world.

At first, Barranquilla was choosen as 2013 Cultural Capital, just beacuse the reason why it has always been popular, because its happiness, positivism and perfect demonstrations of a cultural community. Other cities was choosen before, but the patriotism for cultural history, in Barranquilla is unique, and it perfectly shows how culture can change people and countries.
ReplyDeleteAt the same time Barranquilla gets this recognition, its popilarity around the wold start to increase, no just because its national celebration, also because it´s going to be internationaly identified as a great place to visit and learn some more thing about real love for culture.
Barranquilla has been chosen as 2013 American Cultural Capital, this recognition was won because of the positivism of the people and the internatinally projection of the city.

I'm totally agree with you! Barranquilla is a great city with excellent people plus a unique culture. This title of Cultural Capital 2013 is totally deserved. Also this will help a lot to promote the city and eliminate some stereotypes about Colombia and his cities.
DeleteAs all we know Barranquilla is one of the most beautiful cities of Colombia, replete of great people with an amazing cultural diversity, which is shown every year in its carnival. Because of this last year Barranquilla won the privilege of been American Cultural Capital 2013, putting itself upon cities so important as Rio de Janeiro or Medellin. This recognizing will bring Barranquilla a new window throw the world, promoting it on Antena channel and Discovery Networks. This is great news to the economy, because this will promote tourism to this beautiful city that is making its way to the world and want to show itself as a big city in pursuit of developing of culture and integrity of its people.
ReplyDeleteBarranquilla was choosen as the American Capital Culture because it's citizen are very interested on keep their traditions (like the Carnaval de Barranquilla)and they are always try to make it better. All the people can see how the city is transformed, with it's streets that are colors full, and it's people that looks happier.
ReplyDeleteThe city have been on a progress process that make a difference between other cities in other countries, for that reason Tudela was infected for it's happy people, and his organization named to Barranquilla as the Capital Culture.
For other way, is importan to think that this title come with economic benefics. For example, the tourism and commerce industry could increase their assets and this mean that the city going to have more cash to invert on his people.
Barranquilla was chosen as the Cultural Capital of 2013, because Xavier Tudela, the president of "Bureau Internacional de Capitales Culturales", was in shock with his visit to the city, because according of what he said, the city has an amazing interest in culture but overall has positivism and shows a lot of international projection (As all of us know, we can see this projection in events like the Carnaval and many others festivities that make people of differents countries come to visit our city).
ReplyDeleteAbout the economic benefits for the city, Barranquilla will not recieve money but Barranquilla will recive a huge promotion on international medias through different types of chanels that Bereau has connections with, chanels like "Discovery Networks" y "Antena 3 from Spain", because of that promotion the city could recieve many others benefits, including monetary benefits.
Barranquilla was chosen as the cultural capital of the year because of the conservation of the esence of our culture and the positivism shown by we, the citizens of Barranquilla.
