  2. My favorite carnival moment was on saturday because i went to the "batalla de flores"and this i is maybe the most interesting day in carnival,in this celebration you can enjoy a nice cultural representation through each carnival dances and costumes, in the "cumbiodromo" i saw a lot of different cultures enjoying our patrimony, the national and international press were interested to know more about caribean and carnival traditions and show it to the world, then on sunday i went to a family party in the evening, and i shared with uncles, aunts and cousins that i haven't seen since some years, because they come to barranquilla to enjoy the carnival,so the next day, on monday first in the morning i studied for some evaluations , but in the evening i went to the "gran parada", in this opportunity i didn't see famous people but as the rest of the carnival i enjoyed a nice moment with friends and family.

  3. This is my first time on Barranquilla during the carnivals. And my friends and family said me that this was the best chance to "enjoy the carnival"
But I was thinking on something that wanted time ago. These four days was reserved for visit my family.
It was like a type of "vacations" on Cartagena. On friday I traveled to the city (after a very "interesting and profitable" unplanned algebra class) on the road, I listened music and I slept a little. My dad was waiting for me on Crespo, and then of a very big hug, he took me to my house.
There was my mother and my grandma (who were very happy to see me) but there no was food, so (like the last year, I made the dinner. I have to admit that I don't miss that so much)
On the next days I just was walking with my family on the malls of the city, and I visited to my uncles.
Also I could see some of my friends. I was very exciting, and I felt like in home again.
On tuesday I back to Barranquilla to studying for the calcute partial and again I could feel the carnival ambient. That's nice, the people was very excited for the Joselito's dead. I've never see the people so happy at a funeral. lol.

    1. Well Adriana it was a nice weekend, specially because you shared time with your family and enjoyed momments in your city, but if you have never been in barranquilla in carnival, i invite you to come the next year because i'm sure you will have an amazing culture experience, and is better if you come with your family, because on these 4 days people from barranquilla recieve people from all the caribean cities in the world as brothers just looking for peace, a nice one because this peace is not common is a peace trough happiness, so you are officially invited to enjoy the next carnival in our city.

  4. Well, in carnivals, actually, I didn't do anything related to it, because I’m Christian, and I don’t like it. Also I've never liked this tradition at all. In those days I was in a retreat in Sabanalarga, I wasn’t informed at all about what was happening here. I was incomunicated. But it was great! It was an amazing experience.
But talking about the carnivals, this is one of the most important traditions around the world, because it is Patrimony of humanity. Here is a mixture of a lot of cultures that make, the Carnivals, so special and so unique. Also, the feeling it gives, allow the people to enjoy and join to this party. Is a nice tradition and is closely related to Barranquilla’s people and their way to be.
